Try making a pizza its quite easy
INGREDIENTS for base
290ml warm water
3 tablespoons of olive oil ( You can use Vegetable oil or sunflower oil )
½ teaspoon table salt
1 teaspoon sugar
500g plain flour
2½ teaspoons dried yeast
INGREDIENTS for topping
1 onion (red or white)
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
2 cloves of garlic
150g closed cup mushrooms
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
1 tablespoon tomato puree
100g grated vegan cheese (we used Violife Original)
Method
Put flour and salt into a large mixing bowl, add sugar and dried yeast
Slowly add warm water and start mixing; you can use a wooden spoon or your hands
Mix together until you have a doughy ball
Once thoroughly mixed together cover the bowl (we use a clean tea towel) and leave in a warm place for at least 1 hour…..
Turn on oven to gas mark 6 / 200⁰C
To prepare the topping, finely chop the garlic
Empty half a tin of chopped tomatoes into a bowl and add tomato puree, chopped garlic and dried herbs
Thinly slice the onion, peppers and mushrooms
Now, lightly flour the work surface and rolling pin, and roll out your pizza dough until about ½cm thick
Place onto a baking tray or pizza stone, then pour on the tomato mix and spread just short of the edges
Place on your sliced vegetables in level layers then cover in vegan cheese
Put the baking tray/pizza stone into oven for 25 to 30 minutes
Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before cutting into equal slices
